Mikro Turbine Production
R & D Studies

Turbines upto 200 kW are named as micro turbines. In our country only 33% of the rivers are utilized for the power generator. The operation and maintenance costs of the hydroelectric power plants are very low in comparison with the thermal, natural gas and nuclear power plants.

Micro power plant potential within the total potential ranges from 5% to 10% around the world in general.

In our contry, with refrence to the studies comleted so far,the ratio of the micro turbines within the calculated total economical power is around 2%.

It is expected that this rate will reach to %10 as ıt is around the world in general, in consideration of the topographical and hydrological conditions of our country.

One of the most important advantage of the Micro HEPP and Mini HEPP projects is their low investment costs and not requiring the energy tranmission line for the local demand.

Briefly conforming to the principle of "Generate your own electricity" by using the own water resources.

As they can be realized without requiring several energy substructures with high costs, the Micro and Mini HEPP production has been started by TEMSAN.

As a result of these studies of TEMSAN energy generation depending on the local resources will be increased and foreign energy input share will be decreased.

Studies supported by DPT (State Planning Organization) are being carried on concerning the micro turbine desing together with Gebze Advenced Technology Institution, Sabancı Universty, Kırıkkale Universty.

Concerning the type projects of the automatical control-command systems for the hydroeletric power plants upto 100 MW, TEMSAN, TUBİTAK BİLTEN and ODTÜ have been working together since 2006.

Hydraulic test laboratory establishment studies supported by DPT (State Planning Organization) for the hydraulic test of water pumps and micro turbines have been started together with İTÜ
.

Starting from the year 2003 the design studies of micro and mini turbines have been realized completely by our personnel. Within this scope 500 kW Pelton type of turbine design is in progress.
